Ybor City has the most walkable stretch of bars in the city along 7th Avenue. South Howard (SoHo) is the cocktail-and-sports-bar corridor. Water Street is the newer polished cluster. Seminole Heights is the neighborhood craft-cocktail scene, and Downtown covers the after-work rooftops.
Ciro's Speakeasy on South Howard is the classic hidden cocktail room. Bern's Steak House bar, The Cocktail Bar (SoHo), and Baba Ganoush on Water Street run polished programs. In Seminole Heights, Rooster & the Till and the Independent Bar have serious drinks.
Ybor City's 7th Avenue is the classic strip — 15+ bars packed into three walkable blocks. SoHo along South Howard is the second cluster, and Water Street is the newer, more polished walkable option with hotel bars and modern cocktail rooms right on the harbor.
Florida law allows alcohol service until 3am, and most Ybor City bars stay open until 3am on Friday and Saturday. SoHo bars typically close between 1am and 2am, and Water Street venues wrap by 2am. A handful of Ybor spots serve later on holiday weekends.
SkyPoint views on the water from Downtown, M.Bird at Armature Works, The Sail on Water Street, and Prost! in Ybor are the go-tos. Water Street hotels — the JW Marriott and Tampa EDITION — also have rooftop and terrace bars open to the public.
